MINISTRIES

Below we have a list of all of the ministries that we offer here at First Baptist Church. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when joining one of our ministry programs. We believe that engaging in fellowship is a very important tool when growing to be more like Jesus. The encouragment of others is a powerful thing.

Adults

This ministry area includes our Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry (Abide), College Ministry, and Senior Adult Ministry. There are many Sunday morning Life Groups to choose from at 9 & 10:30 AM. We regularly offer new Life Studies for all ages during the week. Our Seniors continually enjoy special events and trips.

Children

Children and families are extremely important to us. We offer Children's Life Groups and Xtreme Kidz Worship Sunday mornings because it's important to teach children about the love of Jesus on their level. Wednesday nights offer another level of fun as kids come together from 6-8 PM for Music, Missions & the MAC.

Languages

From American Sign Lanuage to Spanish and even Japanese- we long to share the love of Christ in every language we can! We offer Deaf Interpreted Life Group and Worship. We also offer Spanish interpreted Worship and Life Group. We even have a Japanese ladies Life Group who meets on Sundays mornings.

Library

We strive to be a dynamic resource center that provides information, materials, and services to share the Love of Jesus Christ, stimulate Christian growth, and enhance the quality of worship, outreach, education, and ministry to all of FBC's members as well as our Academy.

Missions

We desire to #ChangeBrandon so we can also change our world for Christ. Through giving and going, we support our community, nation and world. We have a monthly offering emphasis, go on multiple mission trips annually, and minister to those in need around us through the Gift of Hope, Compassion House, and service projects.

Music

God calls us to " speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Eph. 5:19). It is in this spirit we offer choirs for all ages, handbells, special worship events, choir-led worship Sundays at 9, praise-band worship at 10:30, and so much more.

Special Needs

We long to minister to special needs children and adults of all ages through choir, Life Groups, bowling, and special events. FBC Brandon partners with the New Horizons Group Homes, which offers special needs adults in our community a place to live and thrive.

Students

Students in middle and high school meet weekly on Sundays and Wednesday. We have FUN together while we dive deep into God's Word. We serve our church family weekly. We go on mission trips and work on community projects. We go to camp and regularly hold special events to grow together and reach our friends for Christ.

Support

Our members and surrounding community is important to us. We offer groups like GriefCare, DivorceCare, and DivorceCare4Kids to offer support through the difficult time. We also long to meet the physical needs of those in our community through our Compassion House, which offers food and clothing.

Life Groups

This thing called Life isn't easy- we support one another through good times and bad, and "do Life together." We study the Bible on Sunday mornings at 8, 9 or 10:30 AM.  (We don't even mind if you want to call it Sunday School.) No matter what your stage of life, we've got a group perfect for you.
