Tommy Green has led First Baptist Brandon as Senior Pastor since 1996. Under his leadership the church has expanded the scope of ministry and experienced significant spiritual and numerical growth. Tommy and Karen are originally from Alabama and have been married since 1979. The Green family includes, Matthew, Philip, John and Katherine and grandchildren, Fisher, Lyla, and Ransom. Tommy is an avid sports fan and enjoys running.

As the Desktop Publisher, Amanda designs print media for all church events. She is married to James, music teacher at Cimino Elementary. They have a daughter, Annelle, born August 2011. Amanda sings in the choir and crochets in her spare time. Her family enjoys vacations to Sanibel and St. Augustine.

As the Minister to Students, Billy oversees the ministries serving students from 6th-12th grades. He and his wife, Denise, have three daughters, Sarah, Abigail, and Leah. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing video games. He is also an avid sports fan and a runner.

Brooks Beike serves as the College and Singles pastor. Brooks is married to Jessica Beike who serves as the College and Singles associate. In his free time, Brooks enjoys playing softball, watching movies, and spending time with family.

Christa Smith serves as both Deaf Ministry Coordinator and Director of the Compassion House at FBC Brandon. As Deaf Ministry Coordinator, Christa facilitates discipleship and sign language interpretation for the deaf. The Compassion House is a food and clothing distribution ministry helping families in need within the Brandon community. Christa's favorite roles are that of wife to Ron Smith, Pastor to Young Adults, and mom to their two sons, Ryan and Landon. Christa enjoys reading and "coffee time" with friends.

David Durham is Pastor to Adults at First Baptist Brandon. He encourages our adult life groups, leads the senior adult ministry, and directs the SilverTones, our choir for seniors. David is married to Susan who directs the choral activities at Durant High School, and teaches one of our life groups for women. They have two children, Philip and Laurelyn. David enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and traveling.

David Shenning is Minister of Music. He leads musicians to fulfill the mission of the church. His wife, Debbie teaches at the First Baptist Christian Academy. Their children are DeeAnah and Daniel. David enjoys racquetball and the family enjoys camping and going to the beach.

As Director of Information Technology, Debbie helps support approximately 140 computers on campus. She obtains all software licensing, repairs computers, troubleshoots pc and software problems, and works on special projects as needed. Debbie has a degree in Computer Science, an MBA in Management, and recently completed a Certificate of Web Marketing from USF. Hobbies include spending time with her two boys and husband, exploring new technology, and playing her new favorite game, Words with Friends.

As Assistant to the Women's Ministry, Dianne sees all weekly and annual Women's events through, from promo, to set up, to follow-up. She also produces the print promotions for the church. Married to Allan, they have a daughter and son-in-law, Abbi and Daniel. Dianne enjoys taking care of her grandson, Keller, working out at the MAC, spending time in her hot tub, and going to the beach. She looks forward to her second grandchild in August 2012.

As Ministry Assistant to Students, Ellen designs all promotion for student events. She is married to Jeremy, chemistry teacher at Durant High School. They have two children, Lincoln and Lochlann. Ellen sings in the choir and on praise team. She is also President & CEO of Bridal Elegance Brought to You! Inc.

Serving as the Accounting Supervisor, Ettie McMahon’s tasks include financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for the church as well as the academy. Nicknamed “the arithmetic girl” in the third grade, she is fulfilling a lifelong talent of working with numbers. Ettie graduated from USF with a major in accounting and finds great joy in serving the church in this area.

As the Director of Women's Ministries, Janet coordinates Bible studies, events, retreats, and other ministry opportunities related to women. She is the wife of Steve Peavyhouse, attorney, mother of two married sons, Matt and Andy, daughters-in-law Amber and Dena, and grandchildren, Izzy, Tripp, Zeke, and Zoey. Janet enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, following politics, and fellowshipping with family and friends.

Janis surrendered her life to the Lord in March of 2006; later that year the Lord opened a door allowing her to be a part of the ministry at First Baptist. Janis primarily works with Ron Smith assisting him in Young Adult ministries. Her other areas of responsibility include outreach, new membership and the one-to-one discipleship program. She also enjoys helping the Compassion House, Homeless Ministry, and BIGS. When she's not busy taking care of her children, she enjoys lifting weights at the MAC and soaking in the sun.

Jessica Beike serves as the associate to the Collegiate and Young Singles Minister. In this role she has the opportunity to serve alongside her husband, Brooks, as she works with college students and young singles. She is also active in the youth ministry, focusing on the needs of teenage girls. If she is not at work you can find her shopping at the nearest outlet mall or at home spending time with her husband. She is always up for finding an excuse to go to Starbucks or Chick-fil-A!

Joy has worked in the Church Office as Receptionist for nearly 10 years. She answers the phones, greets incoming guests, updates the church calendar, the daily hospital list, the weekly prayer list, types all of Dr. Green's weekly sermons for the archives, processes all of the Church mail, and does various other duties on a daily basis. Joy has been married to Jim for 46 years and they have been members of FBCB for 33 years. They have two grown children and three precious grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family, entertaining their grandchildren, and day trips to the beach whenever possible.

Julia provides administrative support for the Children & Families division by helping to coordinate and assist with events like the Fall Festival, Vacation Bible School, Children's New Member classes, and Academy related events. She and her husband of 24 years are proud of their college age sons, Daniel and David. She enjoys cooking, fitness, the beach and boating, camping... almost anything outdoors.

As Music Ministry Assistant, Kelly assists with choir & orchestra rehearsals and membership. She is married to Steve who also works for the First Baptist Music Ministry. They have two daughters, Kaley and Aubrey.

As Minister of Activities, Kevin heads up the day to day activities in the MAC (Ministries and Activities Center) along with the seasonal Upward sports programs. His wife, Teri, is a math teacher at Newsome High School. They have three children, Will (12), Kate Taylor (9), and Caroline (6). In his spare time Kevin enjoys coaching his son's baseball team and watching his daughters do gymnastics and other sports.

Kristal serves as Director of Preschool Ministries and Assistant Principal of the Academy. She and her husband, Tommy, have been married for 17 years. They have two children, Cal Ryan and Carlee. When not at First Baptist she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and playing volleyball.

Micah Ferguson serves as the Executive Associate at FBC Brandon. In this role he helps facilitate the day-to-day operations of the church. Micah's wife, Lauren, is the 3rd grade teacher at the FBC Brandon Academy. They have three children; Ella, Hannah and Griffin. In Micah's free time, he enjoys reading and trips to the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast.

Dr. Myles Dowdy serves on staff at FBC Brandon as the Minister of Counseling/Administration. In this role he serves to minister to the personal needs and challenges of the members of the church and community. Myles has been married to his beautiful wife Cindy for over 31 years. Cindy serves as the assistant principal of Cimino Elementary School. Myles and Cindy are blessed to have Brooks and Jessica Beike and Elizabeth Dowdy as their children. In his spare time Myles enjoys lacing up the jogging shoes for a short run/walk to Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Paul Pucciarelli serves as the Minister to Children and Families and is the Principal of the Academy at First Baptist Brandon. Within his area of responsibilities he helps organize children's Life Groups (1st-5th grade), Wednesday night TeamKid Missions, Vacation Bible School, camps, Special Ministries and the day to day operation of the Academy. Paul's wife is Becky and they have two high school age children, Paul and Anne Marie. Paul enjoys family picnics, classic cars and spending time with family at the beach.

Peggy takes on many different tasks from helping Joy at the front desk, to assisting in bookkeeping, and any other areas as needed. She retired from Hillsborough County Schools after 23 years as a secretary and soon began working in the church office. The beach is her most favorite place to relax, and spoiling her grandkids is a high priority.

As the ministry assistant for Adults, Phyllis works to keep Life Groups up-to-date with programs and missions trips. She also works with the Senior Adult SilverTones choir as the pianist and enjoys singing in the assisted living homes they visit. Phyllis works with the attendance and records of membership. She and her husband, John, have two children, six grand children, and three great-grandchildren.

Rebecca is one of the MAC Ministry assistants whose primary focus is coordinating their Fitness Programs. She has over 15 years experience in the Fitness Industry and enjoys using her talents to serve Jesus in the MAC. She coordinates a team of over 25 instructors and trainers. She is married to Mike, and has three children, Austin, Abby and Aiden. Rebecca also leads a women's Bible Study/Fitness class combo. In her spare time she enjoys reading, camping, bike riding and picnicing with her family.

Ron is Pastor to Young Adults at First Baptist Brandon. He encourages our 20's, 30's and 40's 'Young Adult' Sunday morning Life Groups. Ron also teaches several of our Wednesday evening Life Studies. Ron's wife of twenty years, Christa, serves as the Director for both the Deaf Ministry and Compassion House. Ron and Christa have two sons, Ryan (16) and Landon (12). Ron enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and traveling.

Sandra Lewis is Music Associate, Pianist, and Children’s Choir Coordinator at First Baptist Church of Brandon where she has been a member since 1981. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a BA in Music Education. She and her husband, Kevin Lewis, director of the church orchestra, have two children, Rebekah and Chris. In her spare time she likes to read, travel, and take rides with her husband on their tandem bicycle.

As the church librarian, Sherry assists the church family, community, academy, and staff. She oversees the everyday workings of the library and supports all ministry areas by ordering and distributing Bible study materials, registrations and sales, sermon duplication and distribution. Her husband, Chuck, works for PC Management as Director of Business Development. They have one daughter, Sidney; two sons, Justin and Charles; a daughter-in-law, Shelby and a grand-dog, Maddie. In her spare time, Sherry enjoys reading, cooking, and playing with their two dogs.

As a MAC Ministry Assistant, Susan assists with the MAC membership database and helps with FBC Brandon’s Upward Sports leagues. She is married to Hank, a new deacon at FBC Brandon. They have a son, Matt, born January 1989 who enjoys serving the Lord with the Compassion House ministry.
